JonDoFox 2.2.1 released
Today, JonDoFox 2.2.1 has been released. It is now compatible with the new Firefox 3.5, and moreover contains some minor security and usability enhancements. For details, refer to the changelog.
Update for Firefox 3.5 in preparation
The current JonDoFox extension is not yet readily tested with Firefox 3.5. We assume that a JonDoFox update will be published this week.
Website maintenance
During the next days, access to the web site may be shortly interrupted due to maintenance work. Anonymisation services are thereby not affected.

The new JonDoFox version provides some minor updates, including an update for NoScript.
NoScript update problems
On updating NoScript in the current JonDoFOx version, you may face some problems. If you would like to skip these problems, please wait on the next JonDoFox update, which will be released within the next few days.
Contact form: please specify valid address
As it did happen again for a message with our contact form, please note the following for its usage:
- If you would like to get an answer from us, please specify a valid e-mail address for our response.
- If we do not get your e-mail address, and if we are furthermore not able to identy for you or your organisation in some other way, you won't ever get an answer.
- If you would liek to get a certain reaction from us, you probably won't get any as well. In many cases of this "invalid" e-mails, the posters did not understand some important things. That would have been clarified by us if we had the response address.
- Especially if you would like to operate Mixes, you should always send us detailed information about your organisation besides your e-mail address.
- If you do not have an e-mail address or if you do not want to send us any, please use the forum to ask your questions.
Now with SOCKS support
Exit Mixes in Premium cascades may, from today, offer SOCKS. Two Mixes with SOCKS als already running. Thereby, almost all Internet applications may communicate with JonDo. Browser applications, however, should still stick to HTTP because of efficiency and security.
General security advisory: If you do not use JonDoFox as web browser, please deactivate/uninstall all browser plugins such as Flash, Java, and Silverlight. Otherwise, any webs site may easily uncover your IP address. You should download plugin contents such as videos and PDFs instead of executing them in the browser. With JonDoFox, however, you may well control the execution of those plugins. If you do not know what browser plugins are, please use JonDoFox in any case instead of your normal web browser!
