Privacy policy of the JonDos GmbH

The JonDos GmbH only collects individual-related data as is legally and technically needed. In neither case, the collected data are sold or forwarded to third parties for any other reasons. The following declaration gives you a review about how we ensure this protection and what kind of data are collected for which purpose.

Payment information

Concerning payment, JonDos does store those user data only that are needed for accounting the service. Typically, these data remain at our external payment proviver completely, depending on the type of transaction. Moreover, the JonDonym service technically prohibits us and others to link user data with downloaded web content.

For payment transactions of private individuals, JonDos only stores pseudonymous JonDonym transaction numbers (article numbers), JonDonym account numbers, the chosen rate and the respective billing service that has been used. Other private user data that may have been collected (E-Mail address, bank account number, credit card number) are being processed by external payment services and remain there, if they store them. For these data consequently applies the privacy policy of the external service provider. As far as payment information is submitted to us directly (cash, bank transfer), private information is anonymised immediatly or destroyed if possible. Thereby, we can only provide information about payments by transaction numbers, not by the private data of the payment sender that we do not store.

Operation of the JonDonym service

The JonDonym service is internationally operated by third party organisations (Operators) independent from the JonDos GmbH. The JonDos GmbH has commited these organisations to high security and data privacy standards. In particular, no connection data about users are stored, if not enforced by any legal obligation in the respective country. If Mix Cascades are operated by several organisations, potentially stored data of all respective Operators have to be merged in order to trace connection data of users. The JonDos GmbH cannot provide information about potential available user connection data to third parties, as acces to this data is technically and contractually denied to her by the Operators.

Data processing on this web site

The JonDos GmbH automatically collects and stores information in her server log files that are transferred by your browser. These are:

• type/version of your browser
• used operating system
• referrer URL (the site visited before)
• time of the server request
• the first two bytes of the IP address of the accessing computer (anonymised IP address)

The JonDos GmbH cannot link these data to certain individuals. These data are not consolidated with other data sources, and the data are deleted every 48 hours after a statistical analysis. Moreover, we recommend to visit our sites with an anonymisation service like JonDonym. This technical prevents individuals from being identified.

Cookies

On several places the internet sites use so-called cookies. They should make our sites more user-friendly, more effective and more secure. Cookies are small text files that your browser stores on your computer. The cookies used by us are so-calles "session cookies". They will be deleted automatically after your visit. Cookies do not harm your computer and do not contain any viruses. If you want you create a user account at our web site, maybe for actively participating on our discussion forum, you need to provide us a valid e-mail address. No more data are collected. We explicitly allow to create anonymous e-mail adresses by using webmailer and anonymisation services like JonDonym. By deleting your e-mail account, you automatically cancel your agreement for storing the e-mail address.
